Terms of Use
Effective date: October 4, 2026
These Terms apply to the Koffee app (“the App”). “We” means the developer of Koffee. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which covers apps from the Mac App Store.
1. License
The App is proprietary software. All rights reserved. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to install and use the App on Macs you own or control, as the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions allow. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, sublicense, or sell the App or any part of it, except where the law expressly permits.
2. What the App does
The App keeps your Mac from sleeping while its switch is on and lowers screen brightness when you’re idle. It depends on macOS features and settings we don’t control. The App can’t prevent sleep caused by closing the lid without an external display and power, a critically low battery, Low Power Mode, manual sleep, or system updates.
3. Your responsibility
A Mac that stays awake uses more energy than one that sleeps, and battery life may be shorter. You decide when the App is on. You are responsible for the results of leaving your Mac awake, including energy use, tasks running unattended, and how your display behaves.
4. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law permits, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the App will meet your needs or run without interruption or error.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, work, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the App or your inability to use it. Our total liability for any claim about the App is limited to the amount you paid for it, if any.
6. Updates and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue the App at any time. Updates come through the Mac App Store.
7. Third-party content
The App includes sounds by Moulaythami (freesound.org) released under the CC0 license. Attributions are listed in the App’s About screen.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. The current version is always on this page. Using the App after a revision means you accept the revised Terms.
